This would have been the last day of term at St Johns and it seems a little strange still that we are not there to celebrate together. However, I have seen so many of you working hard over the last few days and it has helped me to know that you are safe and well and making the most of your time at home. Seeing photos or videos of your work has been great and so welcome. With this in mind a huge thank you to the parents who are doing brilliantly as 'supply teachers' and hopefully enjoying some of the shared activities that have been set.
English - Using your knowledge from your Easter poetry I would like you to write/type a senses poem about a place familiar to you. It could be as simple as your garden, a room in your house or a special place you have visited. Describe it using your senses. For example:
I can see bright, colourful daffodils swaying gently in the cool breeze.
I can hear tiny, busy sparrows chattering noisily while in their delicate nests.
These lines include nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs and extra detail following the pattern from your Easter poetry. Again please send in your work to me by email, video of recital, photo and I have created a 2do as well. I have attached a planning template for you to use also (below)
Maths - complete the times table quiz on purple mash. Use counting patterns or array drawings to help you.
Guided Reading - Use the topmarks game from Monday, practise your spellings, read or listen to a book and design a new front cover for it. On purple mash there is a design a front cover 2do to help you with this.
Get Active - Look at the active challenge activity below.
RE - think about the Easter story and celebration and consider why it is so important to Christians. Answer the questions on the attached sheet.
