Tomorrow is a bank holiday so no new home learning tasks will be set for you to complete.
English - Using your plans from yesterday, I would like you to type/write your alternative traditional tale today. Think carefully about the sections of the story and the vocabulary and story language you will use to make the story as exciting as possible for the reader. I have created a 2create a story 2 do for you to use, or you can write it in your English books. Please check each sentence has the correct punctuation in it and that they all make sense. Read your story to someone in your house to make sure they can understand what you have written. Enjoy, good luck, knock my socks off!!
Maths- Please have a go at this shape lesson where you will look at lines of symmetry within shapes . https://www.thenational.academy/year-2/maths/to-recognise-lines-of-symmetry-within-2-d-shapes-year-2-wk1-3.
Guided Reading - Finish off any tasks that have not been completed.
Science - This week we would like you to think about how humans provide care and look after the basic needs of animals in their care (pets). Think about what pets need to survive (food, water, exercise, love, shelter) and how humans provide these. If you have your own pet you can think about how you look after him/her to help you complete this task. If you don't have a pet at home look at the pet care sheets below to help you. There is also a video to watch to help you http://www.viewpure.com/FOLP8p0jSoA?start=0&end=0 There is a 2do task on purple mash to help you record your work or you can complete it in your English books. Thank you.
Don't forget about the competition to design a school banner to hang outside the school gates in support of our NHS and other key workers. If you would like to enter please take a look at the document on the class page and follow the instructions. The closing date for entries is the 8th May 2020. Good luck!
