Maths: Today we are adding by counting on.  Find some practical resources around your house to add together (pieces of pasta, marbles, pennies). Watch the video to see how we count on from a number to solve an addition number sentence; https://kids.classroomsecrets.co.uk/resource/add-by-counting-on-video-tutorial/. You should be able to see that the answer gets bigger when we add two numbers together. When we add two larger numbers, we can use a number line to solve find the answer. Complete the Purplemash actvity; Adding By Counting On. Use the number line linked below and 'jump' forward the number of times with your finger to find the answer.

Phonics: Today we are going to recap the spelling of ‘igh’ for the /igh/ sound. Before you complete the activity on Purplemash, recap all of the different sounds by watching this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6eh_RQ0Pkhg

On Purplemash, you activity is to read the real and pseudo (alien/not real words) and colour code them. We have did an activity like this last week.

Guided Reading: Log onto Oxford Owl Reading Tree and search for the relevant book for your guided reading group:

Elephants: The Ox and the Yak

Zebras: The Scarf

Giraffes: The Orchid Thief

Lions: The Frog Prince

Parrots: Animal Magic

RE: Look at the labelled picture of inside a Christian church. These are the key features that can be found if you were to go into a church? Have you been inside a church before? If so, have you seen any of these before? The Powerpoint will tell what each feature of church does or means.

Look at the picture carefully as on Purplemash you have a quiz of naming the different items found in a church.
