Maths: Today we are doubling money. Recap on how we find doubles and recall all double facts up to 10 https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-1/. Click onto 'Summer Term, Week 1'. Remember when we double something we add it to itself or find 2 lots of a number. 2 lots of 3 is the same as 3 + 3 and double 3. Work with objects around the house to find doubles. If you could out 5 sweets, add another 5 and find out what the double is.
Complete the activity on Purplemash; Finding Money Doubles.
English: The acrostic poem that you wrote last week, you are going to perform. Look under your work folder and click on the ‘Done 2Dos’ to locate your poem. Once you have located your poem, have a go at learning it off by heart. Remember what we have done in class before with our ‘Going on a monkey hunt’, we put actions to our words so it is easier to remember. Once you have learnt your acrostic poem, get someone in your family to record your performance.
