English: Today we are going to write an acrostic poem. You have seen these types of poems before. The word down the side is what the poem is about for example, this acrostic poem is about a meerkat:
From this the letter at the beginning will start the first letter of the word about meerkats. Thinking about some adjectives and adverbs for meerkats, the beginning lines could be something like:
Meerkats are hairy and small
Eating delicious insects quickly
Ears small and round listening carefully

Maths: Watch the video and familiarise yourself with the different British coins https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vs8F_g3MGtM. If you have any at home, compare them and order them from smallest to biggest amount. On Purplemash, play the game 'calculating change from 10p'. Then complete the work; 'How much?'.
Phonics: Today we are going to recap all of the alternate spellings for the sound /oa/. Remember they can be written the following ways: oa, ow, o-e and oe.
