End of Key Stage Assessments 2017 and Performance Tables

Key Stage 2 Assessments

The 2017 Key Stage 2 Assessments assess the new, more challenging national curriculum. Children will complete tests in Reading, GPS and Mathematics but will also complete Writing assessments.  They will be awarded either, Working Towards ARE (Age Related Expectations), Working Securely at ARE or Working at Greater Depth. Nationally, outcomes for 2017 show an increase in expectations for children at the end of Key Stage 2 compared to last year. Nationally, 40% of pupils achieved the expected level in Reading, Writing and Mathematics combined, compared with 61% across the country in 2016.
